Maintenance Mechanic

We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic on behalf of our manufacturing client. This position supports daily operations by maintaining production machinery, mechanical systems, and facilities.
The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on maintenance experience, and a commitment to keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery using equipment manuals, diagrams, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain machinery and equipment.
Maintain mechanical systems, including heating, cooling, and air-conditioning equipment.
Complete repairs to facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Perform general maintenance tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and cleaning.
Repair and adjust locks on doors, cabinets, and closets.
Assist with moving furniture and equipment and setting up or breaking down rooms.
Communicate maintenance needs and equipment status with coworkers across shifts.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the responsibilities.
Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, and air conditioning.
Familiarity with ERP systems, including Epicor 10.
Forklift operation skills.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
High attention to detail and flexibility in changing work environments.
Strong English communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to climb ladders and perform repetitive movements.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to recognize audible alerts and respond to hazardous situations.
Ability to communicate clearly in person and by telephone.
